MEET HALEY

Haley started her first 2 year old under saddle when she was just 11 years old. Since that day she had a passion for training horses. Following her love of the horse, she went to Black Hawk College where she pursued her dreams and received an Equine Science Degree. During her time at Black Hawk College, Haley was on the equestrian team for horsemanship where she qualified for Nationals all 3 years; bringing home the National title twice. Further her education, Haley then transferred to West Texas A&M where she graduated with a bachelor degree in Ag. Business & Equine Industry. Throughout Haley's career, she has worked 6 years under professional horse trainers.

Haley's true passion lies in training & competing barrel horses and starting colts. Even though this is her specialty, she has experience riding many different disciplines (jumping, dressage, reining, ranch riding, showmanship, western pleasure, roping, and cutting), as well as problem solving on some tough horses.

Colt Starting (2/3 Year Olds)

TPH is passionate about starting a colt from the ground up. With this being said, Haley insures each young horse in her program has proper groundwork, desensitizing, saddling, and riding time that leaves the horse soft and supple. This method will stick with the horse a lifetime.

Starting rate is $1,200/month including a $200 non-refundable deposit down to hold a spot. This program has a 60day minimum.

Barrel Racing

Barrel horse training includes patterning work, balancing the horses' body, shaping around a turn, speed, and putting all aspects together to make an effortless run.

Tune Ups

This training package is geared toward horse's coming off winter break, vacation, or that need reminded of the basics. All tune up horses go through 1 week of ground work to review skills such as desensitizing, yielding hind quarters, backing, yielding fore hand, and lunging. Then move to next 3 weeks of riding, inside or out of the arena.

Fundamentals

This training package is adding all the buttons to make every day riding, showing, or performing easier. Buttons include, but not limited to, turnarounds, correct stop, back up, haunches in, side-pass, counter-bending, roll-backs, and obstacles.

Drop Off Check List

Listed below are a few things to have ready and bring with you when dropping your horse off at TPH for training.

Current (within 1 year), Negative Coggins
Grain for 1 month (typically 4 bags)
Any supplements your horse gets
Fly boots and/or mask
Winter blanket and/or sheet
